The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is the flagship initiative of NITI Aayog aimed at promoting a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving across India. Launched in 2016, AIM seeks to create an ecosystem that nurtures young innovators, encourages creativity, and strengthens the nation’s capacity for technology-driven solutions.

Objectives of AIM

1. Promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in schools, colleges, and communities.

2. Enable and support young innovators through mentorship, incubation, and financial assistance.

3. Build innovation ecosystems by connecting educational institutions, industry, and government bodies.

4. Encourage technology-driven problem-solving aligned with national priorities such as Digital India, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
